Lady Crusaders March On @ Mulvane Wildcat Classic

In opening night action Monday at the Mulvane Wildcat Classic at Mulvane High School, our Varsity Lady Crusaders advanced their record on the season to 9-2 by easily defeating 1st round tourney opponent Arkansas City Lady Bulldogs. Up only 1 pt after 1 qtr., the Lady Crusaders kicked it in a notch or two and ran away with the outcome - final score Wellington 53 Ark City 26. The win keeps the Lady Crusaders on the "winner's" side of the 8 team bracket and matches them up with Monday's nightcap winner Wichita Southeast on Thursday - tipoff for the 2nd round action - 5:45pm. Wichita SE defeated Maize South 48-41.

Scoring for the Lady Crusaders were: Dani Anderson 18, Ashlyn Whaley 9, Erianne Adams 7, Elizabeth Palmer 6, Kailey Jenkins 5, Halynn Page 4, Megan Amrein 2, Carlie McComb 2.

The Crusader (Boys) head to El Dorado later today for Freshman, JV and Varsity "non-league" action there. The Freshman / "C" Team game gets underway @ 4:15PM - JV and Varsity to follow.
